"Below the tree on the horizon you will find a well. The pump is cast iron and rusting. The field slopes away from this high-point in the land and the view stretches out across the Teme Valley. This truly is a horizon. A field with a gentle gradient is ideal. Add a field in bloom and it's a photographer's dream. The focal point remains the tree. It always is when you walk through this field. Bright, midday sunlight brings the dream alive in a way no sunrise or sunset ever could. The slight cloud cover created the perfect conditions. I managed one exposure before the farmer kicked up the dust as he drove by behind me on his ATV. I didn't need another."
