SPECTRUM

from £11.99

This is "SPECTRUM"

A unique print only available from Alexander | William Photography.

"A foggy sunset! That's what it's all about, right? And seeing as this so rarely happens, I thought I'd offer one up to you for a gaze. You see, what happens is that the light from a setting sun catches the moisture in the air at angles you're simply not familiar with. Think about it, when was the last time you saw mist on the landscape as the sun set? Completely different to a foggy sunrise of course. A rising sun increases the temperature and burns the moisture away, eventually either creating a haze, or vaporises it completely. Moisture in the air at sunset hangs around. Literally. As the sun lowers the temperature drops and the moisture is, if anything, encouraged. This is when you see the spectrum! This is when you see every colour you've ever known. One of nature's many powerful demonstrations of science, if you will. What I love about this, though, is that this beautiful display of nature is offset by the dingiest caravan Shropshire has ever seen, randomly rotting away in a field making this one of the most ironic images I've ever captured. Something different for the wall or, at least, a talking point."
